WE RECOMMEND WASHING YOUR ALTERNATIVE HAIR EVERY 6-8 WEARS
CLEANSE & CONDITION
- Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles using your Jon Renau Paddle Brush or Jon Renau Wide Tooth Comb
- Wet hair completely using cool running water
- Gently lather the hair with a small amount of Jon Renau Synthetic Shampoo, making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
- Rinse thoroughly under cool running water until water runs clear
- Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
- Spray with Jon Renau Conditioning Spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece. Do not rinse out conditioner
- Gently detangle hair using your Wide Tooth Comb
DRY & STYLE
- Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry
- For mid-length to long length styles, apply HD Smooth Detangling Spray, (3-5 pumps) focusing on bottom half of wig or hairpiece. Gently comb through using your Wide Tooth Comb
- We recommend using your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style
- To add texture and definition, use a small amount of Piece Out Contour Fiber Crème and apply using fingertips
- Do NOT use heat to style synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers)
TIPS
- Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the fiber
- We recommend using HD Smooth Detangling Spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with a mid-length to long length wig or hairpiece

I love this topper. I have worn Jon Renau human hair toppers for several years, but wanted to try color 101/48t which isn't available in human hair. When I had good hair, it had natural curl, so I took a chance on Top Coverage Wavy, and I'm so glad I did. There is a learning curve when switching from human hair to synthetic, and I wish I could stick with human hair, but this color is such a great match for my bio hair. I love the ease of not having to style it, but have been disappointed in the longevity of synthetic fibers. I wear the same topper all day, every day. My disappointment is not with this style, but with synthetic fibers in general. If the cap feels too large, just give it a few wears to "fall" and shape to your head. This is truly a great full-coverage topper, and according to my good friends, who will always tell me the truth, it looks totally natural. I have purchased 2 so far, and will definitely order more.

This topper is not for everyone. First want to say, fast & easy with Wig Studio 1. My disappointment is in the hair piece. I have been wearing toppers for 10+ years, and I wholeheartedly know you have to work with a topper to make work, not wear right out of box. I typically like Jon Renau, I have human hair, heat friendly, and synthetic and understand the perks of each. But this hairpiece has entirely too much hair, very helmet head hair feel with big curls, felt like a very outdated style. Felt like a cone on top of my crown, wound not sit flat. I thought with the hand tied cap would feel lighter and sit flatter on my head, not even close, still felt like permatease on my head. Also not comfortable. I used thinning shears & it ended up looking like a mullet in the end. Just wasted $100’s on a piece that I will try to donate or throw away. I tried to make it work, so I can’t return, I should have known better, I knew I didn’t like it right away. But I was determined & felt I could make it work. I will say the hair felt good for being synthetic. There’s a reason there isn’t a ton of reviews online about this
topper. Very bummed & will continue my search….I tried premium wavy topper by Belle Tress, after a ton of work that one was ok, but the heat friendly fibers looked so bad rather fast, even with light heat applied. After buying 2, I couldn’t justify the short life for that price. Feel like giving up, it’s very discouraging trying to find a topper, I have hair, just extremely thin & frizzy . I’ve even bought wigs & cut into a topper. I’ve tried it all. Keep looking & wasting more money . My hair is my biggest insecurity & depressing to be disappointed yet again.

If you have hair thinning or loss anywhere in the front, this will not work for you as you'll be pulling on those vulnerable hairs if you have any, yet it won't be enough to hold the piece in place safely, nor can you use adhesive on thinning hairs. Obviously the 3 front clips won't be of use if you have no hair in front; aybe you could remove all the clips and use adhesive instead if you have no hair. For me, with thinning hair, this was unworkable. I was excited about this item, but was left disappointed. Trying to be fair to the store, I kept the items (I bought two) rather than ask for another return. I shouldn't have kept them.
