We Recommend Washing Your Alternative Hair Every 6-8 Wears
CLEANSE & CONDITION
- Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles using your Wide Tooth Comb
- Wet hair completely using cool running water, allowing the water to flow in the direction of the fibers
- Do not submerge or soak your wig or topper
- Gently lather the hair with a small amount of shampoo specifically formulated for synthetic hair, making sure the hair is traveling in the same direction
- DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
- Rinse thoroughly under cool running water until water runs clear
- Wrap wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry
- Spray fibers with a conditioning spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from base of wig or hairpiece
- Please follow instructions for use depending on products used
- Gently detangle hair using your Wide Tooth Comb
DRY & STYLE
- Allow wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing on a plastic or wire wig stand
- DO NOT blow dry synthetic hair
- For mid-length to long length styles, apply a detangling spray, (3-5 pumps) focusing on bottom half of wig or hairpiece.
- Gently comb through using your Wide Tooth Comb
- We recommend using your fingertips or wig comb for your desired style
- Consider additional products to add texture and definition, using a small amount and applying using your fingertips
- Do NOT use heat to style synthetic fiber (curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers)
TIPS
- Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e., open oven, heater, etc.)
- Excessive heat can damage the fiber
- We recommend using a detangling spray with a wide tooth comb to detangle your piece after each wear

Charlotte, in stunning Sterling Shadow, is my first Envy wig and she does not disappoint! A beautiful and comfortable cap, soft and silky fibers, great care in packaging and excellent quality control contribute to her out of the box perfection. Her tosseled waves with just the right volume make for the perfect everyday style. I am very happy with my purchase.
I was very excited to try Charlotte since it was the absolute style I had been looking for. Out of the box I was a bit disappointed because it doesn't look as nice as most of the photos of it, but that happens a lot with these wigs. It was much more flat than I had expected. I decided to give it a go, though, and after a week of wearing it I'm even more disappointed and it will be going on the shelf.
It tangles A LOT for such a short wig. I've had issues with Envy wigs before, and I have to think it has something to do with their fibers. Sadly the way it likes to tangle now after just a few hours of wear, I'm constantly checking the back to make sure it's not a knotted mess.
And the lace front is pretty terrible. Another thing that seems to happen with Envy wigs, the front lace is so deep, you can tell it's a wig from across the room. So it had to be trimmed back which I'm sure will surely shorten its lifespan, too.
And it's a flopper. I've tried all I can to get the face area trained and workable but it just isn't going to happen. I used some synthetic-safe spray and that didn't even help.
After all that, I have to say too that the cost is not worth it for this piece. Too expensive for something that certainly doesn't seem like it's going to hold up.

For a face flopper, you may try misting the fibers with water, then pinning into place to dry. I hope that helps!

This is my third Charlotte. The first had a beautiful wave, looked like product description. The second wave looked like it had been done 5 minutes before someone was leaving on vacation, so I sent it back, and this one is just ok but certainly not up to the standard of the first.
I think they really need to do quality control, especially if something's very popular.

Thank you for your review. Sometimes purchasing pieces that have curl or wave can be challenging due to the variance with the curl. This is added by hand so each piece will be a little bit unique on it's own.
