Selecting the correct wig size is essential for a comfortable and enjoyable wig-wearing experience. Wearing an ill-fitting wig can result in several problems, such as discomfort, slippage, or even damage to your wig. As such, it's a crucial step to determine your correct wig size before making a purchase. Ellen Wille offers several different cap sizes, and it's important to know where you fall on the Ellen Wille size chart.
 
Follow these three simple steps to determine your wig size and where you land on the Ellen Wille sizing chart. You will need a fabric measuring tape, pen, paper, and a wig cap if you will be wrapping your biological hair under the wig.

Step 1: Record Your Circumference


Using a fabric measuring tape, measure the circumference of your head. Start at the front hairline, then wrap the tape around the back of your head, just above the hairline at the neck. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight.

Step 2: Record Your Ear to Ear Measurement

Starting at the front hairline, measure 7” back to establish the top of head point. From there, position your measuring tape horizontally and measure the distance from ear to ear. The measuring tape should extend to just in front of your ears on both sides.

Step 3: Record Your Front to Back Measurement

Once you know your three measurements, use the Ellen Wille Sizing Chart to see what category you fall into for each measurement (Circumference, Ear to Ear, Front to Back).

Important Reminder: If you find that your head measurements are landing in different sizing categories, always choose the largest size of the 3. 

Ellen Wille standard wig size is petite/average; however, the majority of her wig cap designs will allow enough stretch to fit up to an average/large wig size.

Pros and Cons

Love the razor ends. From the back, hair looks perfect and is so fun. Unfortunately, the bangs are hard to work with. I tried taming them with water, steam and a flat iron but nothing worked. There's a section of the bang that's just unmanageable. I also don't love the amount of hair at the crown. It's super full and looks wiggy to me.

Unfortunately, not a fan...

Anima is my second attempt at trying an Ellen Wille wig. Perla was my first and that wig was positively awful on every level. It made me swear off any wig from the Ellen Wille line.

However, I thought Anima looked really cute and since I decided I did not want to just an entire brand based on one bad wig, I'd give Anima and Ellen Wille another chance.

It is with regret that I have to report that my experience with Anima is one that will now cause me to avoid Ellen Wille wigs like the plague in the future.

The fibers were terrible; they reminded me of doll hair. The cap, while it fit my average/large head comfortably, was itchy and the most uncomfortable wig I've ever worn. The layering and style looked like I'd stuck my head in a blender now matter how many different ways I tried to style it.

I could go on and on because there was positively nothing I liked about this wig.

So lesson learned. I know a lot of people love Ellen Wille and so many look amazing in their Ellen Wille wigs, but this was my 2nd lemon from their company. I will be sticking to other wig brands that have always been wonderful for me.

But I do want to end this review on a positive note by saying 'thank you" to the amazing customer service at Wig Studio 1. The wig arrived far earlier than I expected during what I am sure is a very hectic holiday season for the company. The transaction was smooth and easy. Thanks again, WS1 for always proving such amazing customer service, you are the best! :)
