I am determined to review different colors and styles in 2018 so when Andrea gave me the opportunity to review Reese by Noriko in Irish Spice Rooted, I jumped at the opportunity!
Reese is a best seller in the Noriko line, and it is easy to see why. The choppy layers and fringe make Reese perfect for a variety of face shapes. Reese is a shaggy cut that is sexy and fun, all the layers give her lots of movement giving a very natural look.
I personally love Noriko wigs. My first wig was Noriko Tori and I still love it and all Noriko styles. Reese does have permatease, as do most all Noriko wigs, but I really like that feature, making Reese even more appealing to me.
Now let’s talk about this amazing color! Irish Spice rooted is a medium cooper red and medium auburn blended base with honey blonde highlights and dark brown roots, it is vibrant! I love the highlights; they give the wig such dimension which really brightens the face. I have wanted to try a red and I’m so glad I tried this one; I know that this won’t be the last red shade that I will try!
Reese has a basic cap construction, no lace front, open wefting, closed felt ear tabs, bra type adjusters and extended nape. I personally like the basic cap; it is cool in the summer and also keeps the costs down.
The specs on Reese are front 5.5”, crown 6”, nape 4” and she only weighs 2.8 oz. This is such a fun wig, if you have wanted to try a Noriko wig and one that is affordable and a best seller give Reese a try!

About the style: PUSH-UP is a fun and flirty short wig style that Is truly a shake-and-go piece. She’s covered with fringe layering that can be spiked up with a little shaping cream or tamed down when it’s business as usual.
About the cap: PUSH-UP has an open-cap construction for the ultimate in cooling. She has comfortable felted ear tabs that can be pressed down for better coverage. Adjustable straps inside the nape allow you to make her a little bigger or smaller, depending on your head circumference. As most Ellen Wille wigs are, PUSH-UP is a Petite-Average size cap, and she weighs only 2 oz.
About the color: Aubergine Mix is a stunning blend of the darkest brown with hints of plum at the base and bright cherry red and dark burgundy highlights. This color is truly a head-turner!

About the style: SKY is a classy, short, asymmetrical cut with longer layers on top and strands that can be pulled in front of the ears (or behind if preferred). Her bangs sweep gently to the side. Her back features contemporary, spiky layers.
About the cap: SKY has a monofilament, hand-tied crown, which offers the most natural parting. She has a wefted back and sides for excellent air flow to keep you cool even in the warmer months. She has comfortable, felted ear tabs that can be pressed down for better coverage. Adjustable straps inside the nape allow you to make her a little bigger or smaller, depending on your head circumference. As most Ellen Wille wigs are, SKY is a Petite-Average size cap, and she weighs only 2.3 oz.
About the color: Auburn Rooted is a dark auburn with tones of bright copper red and a warm brown blend with dark roots.

How Do I Care for my Synthetic Wig or Topper?
Once you've invested in a synthetic wig or topper, continued care for your purchase is your next priority. Below, I've listed synthetic wig care instructions for cleansing and styling along with videos to provide a visual. :) You can browse our entire wig collection here.

SYNTHETIC CARE & TIPS
We recommend washing your wig every 6-8 wears
CLEANSING & CONDITIONING YOUR WIG

Before washing your wig or topper, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau paddle brush or Jon Renau wide tooth comb

Hold wig or topper under cool running water. Then, gently lather the hair with a capful of Jon Renau Synthetic Wig Shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
-
Rinse wig or topper thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear
-
Wrap wig or hair piece in a towel and gently pat dry
-
Gently detangle hair using your Jon Renau wide tooth comb
-
Spray wig or topper with Jon Renau Leave-In Conditioning Spray (3-5 pumps) keeping away from the base
DRYING & STYLING YOUR WIG
-
Allow your wig or topper to air dry naturally by placing it on a plastic or wire wig stand. DO NOT blow dry your synthetic wig
-
Styling is very easy with your Jon Renau wig. Simply use your fingertips or wig brush/comb for your desired style
-
If fullness is desired, gently backcomb hair using your wig brush or wide tooth comb, then smooth the surface hair over and apply Jon Renau Holding Spray
-
DO NOT use any heat tools, such as curling irons, flat irons or blow dryers, to style your synthetic fiber wig or topper
TIPS
-
Be cautious when standing near a heat source (i.e. open oven, heater, etc.) Excessive heat can damage the synthetic fiber of your wig or topper

We recommend using Jon Renau HD Smooth with your Jon Renau wide tooth comb to detangle your synthetic wig. This is especially important with the mid-length to long length wigs

HUMAN HAIR WIG CARE & TIPS

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU COLOR OR PERM WIGS OR TOPPERS
CLEANSING & CONDITIONING YOUR WIG

Before washing your human hair wig, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau paddle brush or Jon Renau wide tooth comb

Hold wig or hair piece under cool running water
-
Gently lather the hair with a capful of Argan Smooth Luxury Shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling
-
Rinse wig thoroughly in cool water until the water runs clear
-
Apply Jon Renau Argan Smooth Luxury Conditioner to the wig or topper, avoiding the base cap of the wig (applying conditioner to the base of the cap may weaken the knots) or topper
-
With your fingers, work conditioner through the ends of the hair for about 3-5 minutes
-
Rinse thoroughly in cold water until the water runs clear
DRYING & STYLING YOUR WIG
-
Wrap your wig or topper in a towel and gently pat to remove excess water
DO NOT use any type of brush to detangle your human hair wig while it is wet. Instead, gently comb through your human hair wig using only your Jon Renau wide tooth comb
Smooth & Sleek
Blend 2-3 pumps of Argan Treatment Mist with Blown Away. Using a round boar-bristle/nylon brush, work through hair in 2” sections starting at nape. Blow dry in downward motion to smooth and direct hair
Volume
Apply 2-3 pumps of Weightless Volumizing Foam throughout hair. Using a round boar-bristle/nylon brush, work through hair in 2” vertical sections starting at the nape. Over-direct hair for optimal volume.
Volume & Texture
Liberally spray Boho Beach Mist throughout the damp hair. Apply 2-3 pumps of Weightless Volumizing Foam, allow hair to dry naturally or diffuse for added fullness.
TIPS

It is recommended to use professional grade heat styling tools with digital temperature settings to control heat

Your styling tools should be set no higher than 350° F to help maintain the integrity of the hair

Versatile 3-Way Hair Spray works great to help hold your finished style. Adjust the nozzle to “L” for low, “M” for medium hold, or “H” for high hold, depending on your needs

When curling your human hair wig, you can use small metal clips to hold each curl while cooling for a tighter, longer-lasting curl. For a looser, more natural looking curl, allow curls to hang while cooling

Boho Beach Mist can be used to on dry hair to add texture and revitalize natural curls

Children with Hair Loss
Hello Friends!!
With it being BFRB week, I felt it appropriate to provide information on this amazing resource.
Children with Hair Loss is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality human hair wigs at no cost to young people who are experiencing medically-related hair loss.
Hair loss in children can be a result of a chemotherapy, radiation, burns, accidents, scarring, Alopecia, Trichotillomania and Hypomellanosis of Ito.
The goal of Children with Hair Loss is to assist as many children experiencing hair loss as possible, by providing each child with a free human hair replacement system once per year. This allows a every child the opportunity to foster a healthy confidence early on, in spite of hair loss. Children with Hair Loss currently provides a customized human hair replacement piece and care kit to more than 300 children each year.
As a company focused on offering products that improve people's lives, Wig Studio 1 is proud to partner with Jon Renau and Children with Hair Loss. Children with Hair Loss provides products and services at no charge to the recipients. The organization operates entirely on revenues generated from tax-deductible donations, fundraisers, grants and by the many hours donated by volunteers.
