For the last few months I've been on the hunt for the perfect bob wig; well, I'm not sure I will ever find a "favorite" because honestly I love so many different ones for different reasons! I think Emma by Estetica Designs is so cute because of her wispy side swept bangs (of course you could have them trimmed). There are so many styles of bobs out there, short, mid length, long, lobs, classic, angles, etc. I find that I like them all; bobs will never go out of style, just the angles and cuts of them change but the general shape is timeless! What I find myself looking for in a bob is lots of good movement and Emma delivers that easily. Emma also features a stacked back making it a bit more trendy that some of the other bobs I have reviewed, it is slightly angled, another feature that brings it a tad more "up to date"; the long flattering layers give it a beautiful shape.
Above are a few color comparisons I did for RH1488RT8, my all time favorite Estetica Designs color. Emma has a medium golden brown root (RT8) and a blend of light amber gold highlights and dark honey blonde. I really like the root on this color, it is not too stark and not too long making it totally believable. The top left photo is RH1488RT8 (on the left in each photo) compared to Gabor Toasted Pecan, the bottom left is Ellen Wille Ginger Rooted and the top right is Envy Almond Breeze. RH1488RT8, in my opinion, is a very "wearable" color, it is highlighted beautifully and soft and a bit warmer than some of the other blondes.
As with all Estetica Designs wigs the cap is extremely well made; it consists of a 100% hand tied mono top (it is a large mono top) which allows for parting options. There is no lace front but I don't think it is needed in this style due to the full bangs, the back of the wig is made with Estetica's Pure Stretch technology giving it a  perfect fit; there is a good bit of stretch in this wig making it great for ladies with a larger head circumference. Estetica has also put a strip of polyurethane along the front in case you would like to add some tape or adhesive. The specs for Emma are, bang 4, crown 10, sides 7, nape 3.5 and it weighs 3.2 oz.
As Emma is a mid length bob it allows you several different styling options. I always love to use a clip bring it off my face; Emma doesn't have a lace front but can still be worn off the face as shown above. I love wigs that can be styled in lots of different ways as you can create a different look easily for daily wear.
The photo above shows the cute stacked back of Emma as well as the lovely rooting, such a timeless cute style! Crazywiglady's Review of Scarlett by Envy in Golden Nutmeg

Crazywiglady's Review of Scarlett by Envy in Golden Nutmeg

Are you looking for a cute bob style with bangs, if so Scarlett by Envy just might be your new wig! This adorable classic bob features full wispy bangs, an even cut, face framing layers and choppy back layers making it a modern take on the all time classic bob!
The cap on Scarlett is of basic construction, no lace front, open wefting for coolness and comfort, no extended nape, open ear tabs and adjusters for the perfect fit. There is some permatease to provide lift but not an overabundance of it. The basic cap on Scarlett keeps the price point low and with added coupons, codes, etc., Scarlett is a very affordable wig!
The specs for Scarlett are, front 3", crown 7.75",sides 5.75",nape 2.56" and it weighs 3 oz making it super light and easy to wear.
Scarlett is pictures on the left of each photo above in the color Golden Nutmeg, I have compared it to Toasted Sesame, Glazed Strawberry and RH1488RT8. The color Golden Nutmeg is described as a medium brown root highlighted with medium golden blonde with some light caramel brown and auburn mixed in as well. I love the different shades in Golden Nutmeg, the highlighting makes it have so much personality! Scarlett is also available in 23 shades, there is something for everyone.
Scarlett has enough length to offer a few different styling options, a headband, clip, or any other cute hair accessory would work wonderful on it and give it a totally different look. If you are looking for a cute, versatile, affordable bob you should consider Scarlett!

Crazywiglady's Review of Tiffany by Envy in Toasted Sesame

Crazywiglady's Review of Tiffany by Envy in Toasted Sesame

Let's Connect!
If you have any questions please contact me at eileen@wigstudio1.com I'm also on instagram @crazywiglady and on YouTube at Crazywiglady.
Tiffany by Envy is an adorable pixie/boy cut with full wispy bangs, longer top layers, a short nape and super silky fibers! I like that Envy left the top a bit longer on this style, it adds femininity and allows you to have more styling options.
Tiffany has a very basic cap construction with open wefting, closed ear tabs with stays, pull tabs for up to 1/2 inch adjustment, extended open nape and no lace front; the basic cap allows for a great price point for this wig!
The color I reviewed is Toasted Sesame, a beautiful blended color with shades of medium golden brown (at the nape), soft medium golden blonde and tiny bits of caramel as well. This is also a rooted shade, the rooting is very subtle making it totally believable. I had so many compliments when I wore this to work, people loved the color Toasted Sesame, in my opinion this is a very neutral shade allowing it to be worn by many skin tones. If you are wanting to warm up your look a bit, you might try this color, I absolutely will order it in more styles!
I worked a tad of styling cream into the top of Tiffany to give it a bit of a spike as well as working some texture into the style giving it a "messy look". The specs for Tiffany are, front 3.25, crown 3.25, sides 2.25 and a nape of 2; I love the nape of this wig, it gives just the right amount of coverage.
As always I added a cute headband and a clip to Tiffany to give her a slightly different look, I love short wigs and adding some fun hair accessories can take them from day to evening with little to no effort! Tiffany by Envy is a great addition to any pixie collection!

Crazywiglady's Review of Henry Margu's Classic Band in 27/26H

Crazywiglady's Review of Henry Margu's Classic Band in 27/26H

If you have any questions please email me, eileen@wigstudio1.com!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to review this adorable band wig by Henry Margu! In my opinion this is the perfect piece for this time of year (cold weather), it is the perfect wig for winter hats!

The Classic Band is a chin length bob style that is attached to a 2 1/2 inch black band (by the way the band is super soft). This is such a great option for "throw on and go" hair, perfect for the gym, out for a walk or a trip to the grocery store, it is very affordable as well.

The cap construction on the Classic Band is very basic, of course there is no type of lace front as the band is sewn around the cap, and it is open wefted for comfort. The overall length is 14 inches, it is an average cap size and only weighs 3.55 oz.

The color 27/26H is my all time favorite Henry Margu color, it is a base of strawberry blonde with big chunky gold highlights; the back is more of an auburn color and there are light auburn and medium butterscotch blonde pieces as well! I have this color in several other Henry Margu styles and I absolutely love it! If you are looking for a casual fun wig to put on and head out the door give Classic Band a try!

Crazywiglady's review of Integrity by Gabor in Medium Red

Crazywiglady's review of Integrity by Gabor in Medium Red

Let's connect! If you have any comments or questions please email me at eileen@wigstudio1.com.
If you are looking for a wavy, cute, heat friendly affordable wig Integrity by Gabor might be just what you have been looking for! Integrity can be worn close to the head or wear it tousled to show off these adorable barrel curls.
Integrity has soft waves that provide movement and a very natural look. I used a tad of styling cream to create a bit of texture. In my opinion, Integrity by Gabor would make a great first wig as it is a very basic style and offers enough hair to experiment with different styling options.
The cap construction on Integrity is a basic style, no lace front, open wefted with open ear tabs, and extended nape and velcro adjusters. The basic cap construction allows Integrity to be offered at a very affordable price.
The photos above show some color comparisons; medium red is described as a medium reddish brown with subtle copper highlights. As the photos show there is a good bit of brown in this wig, the copper highlights are very subtle but add some needed dimension. Integrity is available in 12 shades.
Keep in mind that these are heat friendly fibers meaning you can use styling tools but don't exceed 350 degrees.
I am a believer that even short wigs can be styled in different ways creating a totally different look. As the pictures above show just a head band or a fun clip can give Integrity a different look, I love adding a head band to almost any wig. The basic cap construction, barrel waves, lots of styling options and an affordable price make Integrity by Gabor the perfect wig for lots of women.

Crazywiglady's Review of Hope by Gabor In Light Red

Crazywiglady's Review of Hope by Gabor In Light Red

Let's connect! If you have any questions or comments about this blog please contact me at eileen@wigstudio1.com.
Hope by Gabor is a short layered shaggy stole with soft fringe and lots of fun layers; I think Hope is worn best tousled, use some styling cream to create some easy texture. Hope is made of heat friendly fibers so be sure not to exceed 350 degrees on any styling tools.
The color light red is described as a strawberry blonde with some pale reddish blonde mixed in for added dimension. In my opinion this color would be perfect if you have been wanting to try a red shade. Hope is available in 12 shades and is offered at an extremely affordable price point.
The cap construction of Hope is very basic keeping the costs affordable, it consists of an extended nape with velcro adjusters, a basic front, closed ear tabs with stays; there is a small amount of permatease in order to provide a slight lift in the crown.
The specs for Gabor Hope are, front 6 3/4, crown 6 3/4, sides 5, nape 2 3/4 and Hope only weighs 2 1/4 ounces.
I love that even shorter styles can still be styled to make them look totally different; just by adding a headband or some simple pins you can dress Hope or or down very easily. I think that Hope by Gabor would be a perfect "first wig", she is lightweight, stylish and affordable all the things a "first wig" should be. Crazywiglady's Review of Fiona by Henry Margu

Crazywiglady's Review of Fiona by Henry Margu

I'm continuing my quest for the best bobs in the business and I have to add Henry Margu's Fiona to that list! Fiona is a longer layered bob with beautiful face framing fringe that can be worn swept to the side or have your stylist cut some bangs into her if you desire. There are layers around the bottom of Fiona giving it lots of natural swing and movement. In my opinion, Fiona is a classic, timeless style that is perfect for any occasion; I've worn her to work and to the ballet and she was perfect for both of those outings.
My favorite Henry Margu color is 27/26H, it is described as light auburn with medium chunky butterscotch highlights. The highlight are so perfectly done on this style, they are concentrated around the face adding brightness and dimension to this wig. The photos below show 27/26H compared to several other colors.
Fiona has long enough to allow for lots of fun styling options. You can pull it back into a low ponytail or clip it back in a high low style. However you decide to wear Fiona it looks fantastic!
The inside of Fiona's cap is shown above; there is a 100% hand tied contoured lace front as well as a 100% hand tied large mono top, open wefted with velcro adjusters and open ear tabs. Fiona has a good amount of stretch on the sides making it work for average/large sizes.
The specs for Fiona are, bang 7, nape 6, top 5 1/4 to 9, sides 7 1/2 to 8 1/2, back 6 - 8 1/2 and has an overall length of 13. Fiona weighs only 3.3 oz. If you are looking for a longer length bob you should give Fiona a try and add her to your list of favorite classic styles!

Crazywiglady's Review of Crushing On Casual by Raquel Welch

Crazywiglady's Review of Crushing On Casual by Raquel Welch

I love a good pixie/boy cut and Crushing On Casual is just that, an adorable short sassy style that is perfect for any season of the year. Raquel Welch has done it again, a pixie with angled fringe and razored ends that can be worn on or off the face; I'm a firm believer that even a short wig can be versatile.
Crushing On Casual is available in 26 shades, I am featuring Glazed Strawberry, a blended shade consisting of a caramel brown base with varying shades of auburn, pale ash blonde and strawberry blonde.
If you are new to red shades you might consider Glazed Strawberry, it is red but not "too red", in my opinion this could be a great "first red" wig.
I love the pale ash blonde on the tips of this wig, it give the wig a brightness that is very face flattering.
The cap is beautiful on Crushing on Casual, it features a 100% hand tied sheer indulgence contoured lace front that extends into the ear tabs as well as a sheer indulgence mono top providing parting options.
Crushing On Casual is open wefted with closed felt ear tabs with stays.
Raquel Welch has made Crushing on Casual with the Memory Cap III, this feature includes silicone strips that help with security as well as molding to your head shape. If you have no hair the silicone helps hold the wig in place but it will not pull your bio hair, I love the memory cap as I find it very comfortable and breathable.
The sheer indulgence lace front is beautiful on Crushing on Casual, in my opinion, Rachel Welch makes some of the most beautiful lace fronts in the business.
The photo above gives you a look at those Ash blonde highlights, they are nicely positioned around the face.
The nape on Crushing on Casual is 2.2 inches and razor cut, I like the slight "shaggy" look it provides giving this wig a casual look and feel. The Specs for Crushing on Casual are: Front 3.5, Crown 4, Sides 1.75, Back 3.5, Nape 2.2 and weighs 2.1 oz.
As I have to wear my glasses most of the time I always have to make sure they work with my wigs and this one works great with glasses. I have wanted to review Crushing On Casual forever and I'm so glad I finally got an opportunity to try it, I promise it doesn't disappoint! Crazywiglady's Review of High Society by Gabor

Crazywiglady's Review of High Society by Gabor

I'm continuing my reviews of mid length bobs with Gabor High Society in Toasted Pecan, GL 18-23. High Society is a slightly angled bob with long front fringe that frames the face beautifully. I am really enjoying longer styles for the fall and winter months, they look great with turtle neck sweaters and warmer color palettes. High Society is a professional sleek style that has little to no permatease and keeping to true Gabor fashion the fibers are like silk. The fibers of High Society are fine in denier and provide lots of natural movement.
The color that I chose to review is Toasted Pecan GL 18-23, this will not be the last wig I order in this color, I absolutely love this color. Toasted Pecan is a blended shade that consists of light golden brown with light ash blonde. In my opinion there is no gold in this wig, it is a very ashy tone that lends itself to almost grey, which I think is amazing! Toasted Pecan is a neutral shade that many skin tones can wear; if you have been looking for a true ash shade you should try Toasted Pecan.
The cap construction of High Society is very nice, a contoured lace front that goes into a very deep left mono part.
The cap is open wefted with closed felt ear tabs with stays.
High Society was a tad large on me (I have a 21 1/4 inch head circumference) I used the velcro adjusters to get the perfect fit.
The photos above show this incredible lace front, it is basically undetectable and extremely comfortable. I have steamed the front of High Society to train it off my face, steaming is an easy way to get the hair up and off the face. The specs for High Society are, front 10, crown 11, sides 6.5, nape 3.5 and it weighs 3.6 oz.
High Society is the perfect length for many styling options; above are just a few of the ways you can wear this versatile style. I particularly like the choices these length bobs provide for styling; with such a beautiful lace front why not wear it off the face and show off the lace! However you decide to wear High Society you can't go wrong, she is an adorable style! If you have any questions please feel free to email me at eileen@wigstudio1.com.

Crazywiglady's review of Phoenix by Amore

Crazywiglady's review of Phoenix by Amore

Phoenix XO
by
Amore
Nutmeg R
Phoenix XO by Amore is another pixie that I have wanted to try for some time now; it is so cute, sassy and fun! I love the choppy layers that make it a bit edgy, but not too edgy, also the long side fringe makes Phoenix a very trendy style (this can easily be trimmed if not to your taste). There is just something about putting on a fun pixie that makes me smile, I love the ease of short hair, I can take Phoenix out of the box, put it on and know it will look good every time with little to no styling required.
The color I reviewed is Nutmeg R, the base shade of Nutmeg R is a very light amber shade with beautiful golden blonde highlights.
Above is a color comparison of Nutmeg R and Noriko's Butter Pecan which is much more gold.
Henry Margu 27/26H is also more of a golden color compared to Nutmeg R.
Finally I compared Nutmeg R to Sangria, both colors are so beautiful.
The cap construction on Phoenix is interesting; it has a 100% hand tied lace front, a 100% hand tied mono top providing parting options and a light fabric that covers the wefting. This is not a hand tied cap, the cap is wefted but has a soft fabric that covers the wefts making it extremely soft against the scalp, I love this feature! Phoenix has closed felt ear tabs with silicone tabs providing a secure fit as well as an extended nape with adjusters.
The photo above shows additional views of the highlighting on Phoenix, this highlighting makes this wig come alive, it gives it so much personality and dimension.
The specs for Phoenix XO are, front 5.5 to 6.5, crown 3.5 to 3.9, nape 1.6 to 2 and it only weighs 2.2 oz. If you want a pixie that is a tad more "trendy" Phoenix might just be the style for you!

Crazywiglady's review of Eve by Envy in Almond Breeze

Crazywiglady's review of Eve by Envy in Almond Breeze

Eve by Envy
Almond Breeze
I have been reviewing lots of bob styles lately, I find them some of the easiest styles to wear due to the fact that they look good on most face shapes. I have worn long bobs like Jamison and United but today I'm wearing Eve by Envy in the beautiful color Almond Breeze. Eve is an adorable bob that I think would be a perfect first wig, it is short, sassy and extremely easy to style and wear. Eve has lots of razored layers that create a very professional look or you can wear her tousled for a more casual style. Eve has a short nape of only 1.75 inches, this makes it perfect to wear in the fall/winter seasons with warm turtle necks or chunky sweaters as it won't rub the bottom of the wig giving longer wear time.
The color Almond Breeze is a light ash brown with ash blonde highlights; the blonde highlights give Eve lots of dimension and personality!
The photos above are color comparisons, the Eve wig in Almond Breeze is shown on the right side of each picture. I have compared it to Jon Renau Shaded Praline, Estetica designs RH1488RT8 and Jon Renau 14/26S10. I love the warmer blonde in Eve, it makes it perfect for the cooler weather, you still have a beautiful blonde shade but warmer.
The cap on Eve consists of a contoured lace front that is extremely well done, a left mono part, open wefting, felt ear tabs with stays and velcro adjusters. I did find Eve to be slightly large for me, I have a head circumference of 21 1/4, I tighten the wig with the velcro adjusters and it fit perfectly, if you have a average/large head circumference this would probably work great for you. Eve has little to no permatease giving it this sleek smooth look and it is low/medium density.
The picture above shows that beautiful lace front and the back of Eve with the 1.75 inch nape; as the picture shows this wig works great with a turtleneck. Eve is another lovely bob style wig with lovely silky fibers, lace front and mono part, Eve has it all!

Crazywiglady's Review of Zoey by Henry Margu in 27/26H

Crazywiglady's Review of Zoey by Henry Margu in 27/26H

If you are looking for a short, shaggy low density style with with very minimal permatease Henry Margu Zoey might just be your new wig. Zoey has lots of layers that can be worn sleek and straight or use a bit of contour cream to create casual texture for a more sporty look. The bangs can be worn swept to the side or you could easily have them trimmed.
I chose Zoey in the color 27/26H one of my favorite Henry Margu shades, it is a strawberry blonde base with big chunky gold blonde highlights, there are shades of medium butterscotch blonde as well. I personally love the chunky highlights I think it gives Zoey tons of personality and dimension.
I love color comparisons, the photos above show 27/26H compared to TOB Sunset Red and TOB Sangria.
Above are the comparisons between 27/26H and ROP Nutmeg R and Estetica Designs R30/28/26.
Zoey has a nice nape of 3.5 inches, long enough to cover your bio hair nape if needed. This is a low density wig made with Henry Margu's beautiful soft and silky fibers. The specs for Zoey are, bang 4.25, sides 4-5, back 3.5, top 4-6, and a nape of 3.5 and Zoey only weighs 2.25 oz.
Zoey has a beautifully made cap consisting of a 100% hand tied lace front and 100% hand tied mono top, open wefted with close felt ear tabs and an extended open nape with velcro adjusters.
Low density, great style, minimal permatease and beautiful cap construction, Zoey has it all!
