Crazywiglady's review of Phoenix by Amore

Crazywiglady's review of Phoenix by Amore

Phoenix XO
by
Amore
Nutmeg R
Phoenix XO by Amore is another pixie that I have wanted to try for some time now; it is so cute, sassy and fun! I love the choppy layers that make it a bit edgy, but not too edgy, also the long side fringe makes Phoenix a very trendy style (this can easily be trimmed if not to your taste). There is just something about putting on a fun pixie that makes me smile, I love the ease of short hair, I can take Phoenix out of the box, put it on and know it will look good every time with little to no styling required.
The color I reviewed is Nutmeg R, the base shade of Nutmeg R is a very light amber shade with beautiful golden blonde highlights.
Above is a color comparison of Nutmeg R and Noriko's Butter Pecan which is much more gold.
Henry Margu 27/26H is also more of a golden color compared to Nutmeg R.
Finally I compared Nutmeg R to Sangria, both colors are so beautiful.
The cap construction on Phoenix is interesting; it has a 100% hand tied lace front, a 100% hand tied mono top providing parting options and a light fabric that covers the wefting. This is not a hand tied cap, the cap is wefted but has a soft fabric that covers the wefts making it extremely soft against the scalp, I love this feature! Phoenix has closed felt ear tabs with silicone tabs providing a secure fit as well as an extended nape with adjusters.
The photo above shows additional views of the highlighting on Phoenix, this highlighting makes this wig come alive, it gives it so much personality and dimension.
The specs for Phoenix XO are, front 5.5 to 6.5, crown 3.5 to 3.9, nape 1.6 to 2 and it only weighs 2.2 oz. If you want a pixie that is a tad more "trendy" Phoenix might just be the style for you!

Crazywiglady's review of Eve by Envy in Almond Breeze

Crazywiglady's review of Eve by Envy in Almond Breeze

Eve by Envy
Almond Breeze
I have been reviewing lots of bob styles lately, I find them some of the easiest styles to wear due to the fact that they look good on most face shapes. I have worn long bobs like Jamison and United but today I'm wearing Eve by Envy in the beautiful color Almond Breeze. Eve is an adorable bob that I think would be a perfect first wig, it is short, sassy and extremely easy to style and wear. Eve has lots of razored layers that create a very professional look or you can wear her tousled for a more casual style. Eve has a short nape of only 1.75 inches, this makes it perfect to wear in the fall/winter seasons with warm turtle necks or chunky sweaters as it won't rub the bottom of the wig giving longer wear time.
The color Almond Breeze is a light ash brown with ash blonde highlights; the blonde highlights give Eve lots of dimension and personality!
The photos above are color comparisons, the Eve wig in Almond Breeze is shown on the right side of each picture. I have compared it to Jon Renau Shaded Praline, Estetica designs RH1488RT8 and Jon Renau 14/26S10. I love the warmer blonde in Eve, it makes it perfect for the cooler weather, you still have a beautiful blonde shade but warmer.
The cap on Eve consists of a contoured lace front that is extremely well done, a left mono part, open wefting, felt ear tabs with stays and velcro adjusters. I did find Eve to be slightly large for me, I have a head circumference of 21 1/4, I tighten the wig with the velcro adjusters and it fit perfectly, if you have a average/large head circumference this would probably work great for you. Eve has little to no permatease giving it this sleek smooth look and it is low/medium density.
The picture above shows that beautiful lace front and the back of Eve with the 1.75 inch nape; as the picture shows this wig works great with a turtleneck. Eve is another lovely bob style wig with lovely silky fibers, lace front and mono part, Eve has it all!

Crazywiglady's Review of Zoey by Henry Margu in 27/26H

Crazywiglady's Review of Zoey by Henry Margu in 27/26H

If you are looking for a short, shaggy low density style with with very minimal permatease Henry Margu Zoey might just be your new wig. Zoey has lots of layers that can be worn sleek and straight or use a bit of contour cream to create casual texture for a more sporty look. The bangs can be worn swept to the side or you could easily have them trimmed.
I chose Zoey in the color 27/26H one of my favorite Henry Margu shades, it is a strawberry blonde base with big chunky gold blonde highlights, there are shades of medium butterscotch blonde as well. I personally love the chunky highlights I think it gives Zoey tons of personality and dimension.
I love color comparisons, the photos above show 27/26H compared to TOB Sunset Red and TOB Sangria.
Above are the comparisons between 27/26H and ROP Nutmeg R and Estetica Designs R30/28/26.
Zoey has a nice nape of 3.5 inches, long enough to cover your bio hair nape if needed. This is a low density wig made with Henry Margu's beautiful soft and silky fibers. The specs for Zoey are, bang 4.25, sides 4-5, back 3.5, top 4-6, and a nape of 3.5 and Zoey only weighs 2.25 oz.
Zoey has a beautifully made cap consisting of a 100% hand tied lace front and 100% hand tied mono top, open wefted with close felt ear tabs and an extended open nape with velcro adjusters.
Low density, great style, minimal permatease and beautiful cap construction, Zoey has it all! Crazywiglady's Review of Brady by Noriko

Crazywiglady's Review of Brady by Noriko

It is no secret that I love Noriko wigs (my first wig was Noriko), I also love pixie cuts and permatease so I knew without a doubt that Brady was going to be a wig that I wanted to try and I'm glad I did because I LOVE it!  Brady is an adorable pixie but with a slight modern edge making it perfect for any age and very on trend. The long sweeping bangs, layers, and spiky cut make it so fun and super easy to style and wear.
The photo above shows the layering in Brady as well as how the hair is spiked on the top; you could smooth this down by using a bit of styling cream but I like to wear it textured and fun! Also notice how the nape is a little darker, another on trend feature of Brady.
I have Brady in my favorite Noriko shade, Creamy Toffee R (rooted), described as a base of light golden brown with medium golden blonde and beige-platinum blonde highlights and dark roots. I always like to show you a couple of color comparisons, the picture above compares Creamy Toffee R (rooted) to Raquel Welch SS Golden Wheat and on the right Ellen Wille Sandmulti Rooted.
Above Creamy Toffee Rooted is compared with Noriko Butter Pecan R and on the right Jon Renau Shaded Praline.
I am a huge fan of texture in wigs, I believe by using some styling cream and working some texture into the hair it gives it a totally believable appearance. Also, the rooting in Creamy Toffee R (in my opinion) is totally realistic and really gives this color dimension. If you have followed any of my blogs or my YouTube videos you know I'm a fan of permatease (not everyone likes it and I totally get that) but I like the way the permatease works in Brady giving it a fun, sassy lift at the crown.
Brady has a 100% hand tied lace front, closed felt ear tabs with stays and is open wefted. The specs on Brady are front 3.54, crown 3.14, nape 1.57 and weight 2.2 oz. You could easily trim the bangs if needed but I have left mine long to sweep over to the side.
I think Brady is a perfect fall/winter style as it can be worn with collared shirts, jackets and coats and you don't have to worry about the nape fraying. If you are like me and like a short pixie with style you might give Brady at try, you can receive 30% off by using the code crazywiglady at wigstudio1.com. Crazywiglady's Blog on Sky by Noriko in Butter Pecan Rooted

Crazywiglady's Blog on Sky by Noriko in Butter Pecan Rooted

This is about my third Sky, and my second wig ever! I love Sky for lots of reasons, its length, its ability to add tons of texture with very little effort, its array of shade options, but mainly because of its permatease. If you watch my videos you know that I have no problem at all with permatease, frankly I like it! I'm from the south and I do love big hair; however I totally understand and respect anyone who does not care for permatease, if you don't like it than this absolutely not your wig. In the picture above and in my YouTube video I had not yet altered this wig yet. The final picture in this blog will show you the wig after I steamed, thinned and trimmed the bangs. All my Sky wigs came with a tad too much hair on the top, the bangs somewhat long and need some steaming off my face.
In the picture above the Butter Pecan R is on the right in each frame; you can get an idea of different colors compared to Butter Pecan R. I compared Jon Renau Shaded Praline, RW SS Golden Wheat and Noriko Mocha Hlight. The color Butter Pecan R is described as a soft buttery medium golden brown base with very subtle brown lowlights and dark brown roots. Sky is one of Noriko's all time best sellers, it works well on most face shapes and is available in 46 shades so there should be a color for everyone!
One of my favorite features of Sky is the amount of texture this wig has; I love textured wigs, they are so trendy (but not too Trendy) and give it that messy look that is so cute. By just using a small amount of contour cream you can really get Sky look very pieced out and textured. The cap for sky is very basic, no lace front or mono top, it is open wefted with felt ear tabs and is adjustable up to approximately 1/2 inch. The basic cap keeps the price point down on Sky, another reason she is such a good seller, she looks wonderful but does not have the added features to make it super expensive.
Sky has just enough length to style in lots of different ways; the picture above shows just three ways that you can wear her, I love to wear it pulled back with a cute clip or barrette and by pulling some of the bangs down you can also wear it off the face. The specs for Sky are bang 5.6, crown 5.2 and nape 3.6.
The picture above (right) shows Sky after I have thinned the top, trimmed the bangs and steamed it a bit; not a huge difference but just enough for my taste. I did not add texture to this photo to give you an idea of how it looks worn smooth, but I will add contour cream for sure! If you need an affordable wig that will last and last give Sky a try! Crazywiglady review of Citta Mono by Ellen Wille in Sandmulti Rooted

Crazywiglady review of Citta Mono by Ellen Wille in Sandmulti Rooted

When I opened the box of Citta Mono and tried it on my first thought was "this is my kind of wig"! I love the layers, the short style, the beautiful hand tied lace front as well as the color!
This is a right out of the box style, it literally does not require a brush or comb, just run your fingers through the fibers and go. Citta Mono has just enough fullness to have some movement and the fibers are the usual Ellen Wille wonderful smooth silky fibers.
There are two fabulous features in Citta Mono, the hand tied lace front and the sweeping bangs, these elements offer you several different styling options; Citta Mono can be worn with the bangs or off the face to show off the lace front. The cap construction is comprised of a 100% hand tied lace front, a large mono top allowing for parting options, open wefting, closed felt ear tabs with stays and an extended nape with velcro adjusters. These Ellen Wille Hairpower wigs are petite/average sized, this one I believe could be worn by average head circumferences; I have a 21 1/4 head circumference and this one fits a tad loose on me.
The color Sandmulti Rooted is a shaded color of the lightest brown and medium ash blonde with light brown roots. I personally love the rooting on Ellen Wille wigs, they are so natural looking and never too stark. Citta Mono is available in 12 shades. The photo above shows some comparisons to Sandmulti Rooted with other brands such as Jon Renau 12FS8 and Estetica RH1488RT8. The specs for Citta Mono are front 4, crown 5, sides 3 and a nape of 2.
I love the styling options provided by Citta Mono, a simple barrette or a sparkly headband can really dress up this short style. This would be a perfect style for the upcoming holidays! Please use my code Crazywiglady at Wigstudio1.com to receive 30% off this lovely style.

Crazywiglady's Review of Elisha by Jon Renau in 14/26S10

Crazywiglady's Review of Elisha by Jon Renau in 14/26S10

With fall here at last I have been trying warmer shades and I think 14/26S10 is a beautiful fall color, this shade is better known as Shaded Pralines and Cream; I have always wanted to try this color and am so happy I finally had the opportunity to review it.

Elisha is a new 2018 release for Jon Renau and I think she is going to be very popular due to the beautiful fibers, style, cap construction and variety of colors available (around 34 different colors to choose from) and she is available in Petite! Elisha is a modern bob with shorter layers on top giving it tons of movement and a timeless style and shape. Elisha can be worn smooth for a more professional look or add a tad of styling cream to mess her up for more casual occasions or everyday looks. Elisha reminds me very much of Jon Renau Ignite but a bit longer. I have the average size and it fits somewhat snug, if you have a large amount of bio hair that you need to cover or a large head circumference this might be too small, I have very short bio hair and a head circumference of 21 1/4" and this fits snug (super comfortable).

The specs on Elisha are Bang 8, Crown 6, Sides 5 and a Nape of 1.5. The long 8" bangs can be swept off to the side or you could trim them if you wanted. I steamed the front of Elisha to get her "up and off my face", if the hair of a wig falls into my face it really bothers me, but with just a little steaming that issue is easily taken care of.

The photos above compare Shaded Pralines and Cream (14/26S10) to some other popular colors such as Shaded Praline, Shaded Sun and Butter Pecan. As the photos show Shaded Pralines and Cream is somewhat warmer than the others, making it perfect for fall! 14/26S10 is described as a warm honey blonde with butterscotch blonde highlights and light brown roots. The highlights are my favorite part of this wig, I love how they light up in contrast to the warmer tones.

Next lets discuss the amazing cap construction on Elisha; in my opinion it doesn't get much better than this, a 100% hand tied smart lace front gives the hair line a totally natural look. Elisha features a 100% hand tied mono top, allowing for a natural appearance and parting options. The cap is beautiful, it is also 100% hand tied with a 100% hand tied stretch section as seen above (this allows for stretch in the cap area); there are closed felt ear tabs with stays and an extended felt nape with velcro adjusters. If you are looking for luxury in cap design this is it!

You can change your look from day to day by adding a hair accessory, a head band or clip can take you from day to night easily. If you are looking for a short bob with a modern flair Elisha just might be your new hair!

Crazywiglady's Review of Jamison in RH1488RT8

Crazywiglady's Review of Jamison in RH1488RT8

I had reviewed Jamison by Estetica Designs several months ago in a different color, I wanted to revisit Jamision in RH1488RT8 as there has been so much "buzz" about her again recently, going to show us that even though this is an older wig it is still super popular due to its timeless style. Jamison is a long layered bob with beautiful face framing layers. I would like to mention that I did steam the front of Jamison in order to get it off my face; I don't like when hair falls into my face so just a tad of steaming takes care of that issue!
The cap construction consists of a 100% lace front and left mono part (notice there is no seam between the lace front and the mono top), a very nice attention to detail. The cap is open wefted with closed felt ear tabs and a non-extended nape, there are bra type adjusters. There is a good deal of stretch in the cap allowing it to fit a variety of head circumferences.
RH1488RT8 is described as a dark honey blonde with light amber-gold blonde highlights and a medium golden brown root. The highlights are beautifully done on Jamison, they are concentrated around the face making your face light up!
The photos above show some color comparisons to RH1488RT8; notice that one photos shows RH1488RT8 twice (one wig is Jamison and one is Jett, both in same color), I wanted to show you the difference in the same color on two different styles.
The photo above shows the beautiful highlighting in RH1488RT8, there is just enough gold in this color to make it interesting and not flat in anyway. Also, I would keep a wide tooth comb with me when wearing this wig to keep any tangles from forming along the neckline, I probably would not wear this wig with a collar, I try to avoid as much friction on the ends of my wigs as possible in order to extend the life of the wig.
This photo shows some possible ways to style Jamison, there are so many different ways that she can be worn. I like to wear her off the face with a hair band or clip her back to show off the lovely lace front. If you are looking for a versatile style for the upcoming holidays Jamison would be perfect!

Crazywiglady's Review of Ellen Wille Flair Mono

Crazywiglady's Review of Ellen Wille Flair Mono

Ellen Wille Flair Mono in Caramel Rooted is quickly becoming a favorite! The style of Flair Mono is a tousled look with soft textured layers and all over waves. The first time I put on Flair Mono I knew I was going to love this one for a very long time, the style, fit and comfort are exactly what I am looking for in a wig.

The cap is very well done on Flair Mono, this is the case with all Ellen Wille wigs. The cap has a 100% hand tied lace front, 100% mono top which allows for multiple parting options. Flair Mono is open wefted with closed felt ear tabs with metal stays. The specs for Flair Mono are Front 4, Crown 5.5, Sides 4 and a Nape of 3.

I reviewed Flair Mono is one of my favorite Ellen Wille colors, Caramel Rooted which is a blended shade of medium honey blonde, dark ash blonde and medium golden blonde with dark brown roots. Caramel Rooted is such a nice color going into the fall season, it has just enough warmth to make this a very interesting and believable color. At this time Flair Mono is only available in 13 shades, I wish Ellen Wille would expand their shade selections to offer more options.

The textured layers and tousled waves are so loose and free feeling in Flair Mono, you can just run your fingers through the fibers and go! As always the fibers on this wig are soft, silky and easy to manipulate.

The photos above show how this style looks with a head band, super easy and so cute; I think by just adding a simple hair band you can totally change the look of a wig, I love to make a wig more casual for a day of shopping by adding a fun colored hair band or pulling the hair off my face and securing with a clip, and why not show off the amazing hairline! Also, you can get even more texture by working a small amount of styling cream through the ends. You can also really "fluff" this one up and get lots of volume as there is plenty of hair to work with on this style. I hope you will consider Flair Mono to add to your collection of beautiful hair!

Crazywiglady's Review of Classic Cool by Raquel Welch

Crazywiglady's Review of Classic Cool by Raquel Welch

Raquel Welch Classic Cool is an updated Page cut with lots of textured layers, light bangs and a soft sculpted back. Classic Cool is shown in SS Golden Wheat, my favorite Raquel Welch shade. This is a lower density wig than the other RW styles I have making it a very versatile style that can be worn smooth and sleek or tousled for a more casual look.
Classic Cool can be worn either with bangs or off the face due to the beautiful lace front; this style has just enough length to clip it at the back of the head or just wear one side clipped back, it also looks adorable with a head band. Classic Cool is made of non-heat friendly fibers that are silky soft and have lots of movement for a natural look and feel. The specs for Classic Cool are Front 5.5 Crown 7, Sides 4.5, Back 6.5 and Nape 2.
The cap construction of Classic Cool includes a 100% hand tied lace front and a left mono part. The ear tabs are closed felt with stays, the nape is extended with velcro adjusters, the wig is open wefted. This style has the Memory Cap III which molds to the shape of the head and is extremely comfortable.
The color SS Golden Wheat is described as a medium honey blonde with soft gold blonde highlights and medium brown roots. The rooting is not over done at all and is very natural looking. One of my favorite features is the highlighting, it extends all the way into the lace front giving the appearance of the hair growing right out of your scalp. The highlights are also concentrated around the face providing a brightening effect. Classic Cool is available in around 30 shades so there is something for everyone!
I think this is going to be an extremely well loved wig for those of us who like RW wigs due to the lower density and the non-heat friendly fibers, I am already eyeing another shade! If you have any questions please email me at eileen@wigstudio1.com
Please follow me on instagram @crazywiglady where I post a "Wig To Toe Wednesday" each week featuring a wig and my complete outfit for the day!

Crazywiglady's Review of Raquel Welch Advanced French in SS Honey Ginger

Crazywiglady's Review of Raquel Welch Advanced French in SS Honey Ginger

Advanced French by Raquel Welch is an adorable textured boy cut with longer layers on the top and crown. Advanced French is a true wear right "out of the box" style, just give it a shake and go!
Advanced French has built in volume making it very easy to wear and style, you can wear it full or sleek it down for a more smooth look. This wig is part of the Raquel Welch Signature Collection and is made of True2Life fibers, add some curls if you like!
I have a 21 1/4 inch head circumference, these Signature Collection wigs are a tad large for me, making this wig good for average head sizes.
The picture above shows SS Honey Ginger in different lighting to give you an idea of this beautiful color. Advanced French is available in 29 shades so there is something for everyone. SS Honey Ginger is described as blended shades of Medium honey blonde and medium amber blonde with medium brown roots. In my opinion the rooting is perfect on this wig, not too stark not too light, perfect!
The cap construction for Advanced French consists of the Memory Cap III which molds to the shape of the head for a comfortable fit. This wig features a Sheer Indulgence 100% hand tied lace front that is totally natural looking! Also, there is silicone coated stretch lace for added comfort and fit. The cap is open wefted with closed ear tabs, as well as an extended felt nape with velcro adjusters.
The specs for Advanced French are, Front 4, Crown 4, Sides 1.75, Back 3.25 and Nape 1.75. The nape fits close to the neck due to the metal stays, you can lift and turn you head and the nape stays in place.
You can easily add a headband or some pins to give this a different look, also by using a bit of styling cream you can add even more texture to this style. Check out Advanced French for a cute carefree style that is suitable for any and all occasions!

Crazywiglady's Review of Ellen Wille Wave Deluxe in Champagne Rooted

Crazywiglady's Review of Ellen Wille Wave Deluxe in Champagne Rooted

Wave Deluxe by Ellen Wille in Champagne Rooted is a true luxurious wig; Wave Deluxe is part of the HairPower Collection. The soft waves are beautiful on this wig, it has so much natural movement which is one of my favorite things about this one. The fibers on these HairPower wigs are so soft and silky, they truly feel like your bio hair, only better.
The color in this review is Champagne Rooted which is a blended shade of light beige blonde, medium honey blonde with natural platinum blonde highlights and light brown roots. The rooting on Wave Deluxe is not stark at all, the rooting is gradient and blends perfectly. The only "con" to this wig is that it only comes in 9 shades.
The cap on Wave Deluxe is top of the line a 100% hand tied lace front that extends into a 100% hand tied mono part. The ear tabs are a polyurethane which is wonderful if you do not have any hair as they will help keep the wig in place, I found them to be extremely comfortable. This is truly a luxurious cap with all the "bells and whistles"!
The HairPower collection is petite/average in sizing, I have a 21 1/4" head circumference and these fit me perfectly.
The specs for Wave Deluxe are, Bang 7, Crown 8, Sides 7 and Nape 4. Another feature I love about this wig is the endless styling options; it looks great worn down or you can clip it back for a totally different look making this a very versatile style.
If you are looking for a style for a special occasion have a look at Wave Deluxe, this just might be your new wig!
