Crazywiglady's Review of Elisha by Jon Renau in 14/26S10

Crazywiglady's Review of Elisha by Jon Renau in 14/26S10

With fall here at last I have been trying warmer shades and I think 14/26S10 is a beautiful fall color, this shade is better known as Shaded Pralines and Cream; I have always wanted to try this color and am so happy I finally had the opportunity to review it.

Elisha is a new 2018 release for Jon Renau and I think she is going to be very popular due to the beautiful fibers, style, cap construction and variety of colors available (around 34 different colors to choose from) and she is available in Petite! Elisha is a modern bob with shorter layers on top giving it tons of movement and a timeless style and shape. Elisha can be worn smooth for a more professional look or add a tad of styling cream to mess her up for more casual occasions or everyday looks. Elisha reminds me very much of Jon Renau Ignite but a bit longer. I have the average size and it fits somewhat snug, if you have a large amount of bio hair that you need to cover or a large head circumference this might be too small, I have very short bio hair and a head circumference of 21 1/4" and this fits snug (super comfortable).

The specs on Elisha are Bang 8, Crown 6, Sides 5 and a Nape of 1.5. The long 8" bangs can be swept off to the side or you could trim them if you wanted. I steamed the front of Elisha to get her "up and off my face", if the hair of a wig falls into my face it really bothers me, but with just a little steaming that issue is easily taken care of.

The photos above compare Shaded Pralines and Cream (14/26S10) to some other popular colors such as Shaded Praline, Shaded Sun and Butter Pecan. As the photos show Shaded Pralines and Cream is somewhat warmer than the others, making it perfect for fall! 14/26S10 is described as a warm honey blonde with butterscotch blonde highlights and light brown roots. The highlights are my favorite part of this wig, I love how they light up in contrast to the warmer tones.

Next lets discuss the amazing cap construction on Elisha; in my opinion it doesn't get much better than this, a 100% hand tied smart lace front gives the hair line a totally natural look. Elisha features a 100% hand tied mono top, allowing for a natural appearance and parting options. The cap is beautiful, it is also 100% hand tied with a 100% hand tied stretch section as seen above (this allows for stretch in the cap area); there are closed felt ear tabs with stays and an extended felt nape with velcro adjusters. If you are looking for luxury in cap design this is it!

You can change your look from day to day by adding a hair accessory, a head band or clip can take you from day to night easily. If you are looking for a short bob with a modern flair Elisha just might be your new hair!

Crazywiglady's Review of Jamison in RH1488RT8

Crazywiglady's Review of Jamison in RH1488RT8

I had reviewed Jamison by Estetica Designs several months ago in a different color, I wanted to revisit Jamision in RH1488RT8 as there has been so much "buzz" about her again recently, going to show us that even though this is an older wig it is still super popular due to its timeless style. Jamison is a long layered bob with beautiful face framing layers. I would like to mention that I did steam the front of Jamison in order to get it off my face; I don't like when hair falls into my face so just a tad of steaming takes care of that issue!
The cap construction consists of a 100% lace front and left mono part (notice there is no seam between the lace front and the mono top), a very nice attention to detail. The cap is open wefted with closed felt ear tabs and a non-extended nape, there are bra type adjusters. There is a good deal of stretch in the cap allowing it to fit a variety of head circumferences.
RH1488RT8 is described as a dark honey blonde with light amber-gold blonde highlights and a medium golden brown root. The highlights are beautifully done on Jamison, they are concentrated around the face making your face light up!
The photos above show some color comparisons to RH1488RT8; notice that one photos shows RH1488RT8 twice (one wig is Jamison and one is Jett, both in same color), I wanted to show you the difference in the same color on two different styles.
The photo above shows the beautiful highlighting in RH1488RT8, there is just enough gold in this color to make it interesting and not flat in anyway. Also, I would keep a wide tooth comb with me when wearing this wig to keep any tangles from forming along the neckline, I probably would not wear this wig with a collar, I try to avoid as much friction on the ends of my wigs as possible in order to extend the life of the wig.
This photo shows some possible ways to style Jamison, there are so many different ways that she can be worn. I like to wear her off the face with a hair band or clip her back to show off the lovely lace front. If you are looking for a versatile style for the upcoming holidays Jamison would be perfect!

Crazywiglady's Review of Ellen Wille Flair Mono

Crazywiglady's Review of Ellen Wille Flair Mono

Ellen Wille Flair Mono in Caramel Rooted is quickly becoming a favorite! The style of Flair Mono is a tousled look with soft textured layers and all over waves. The first time I put on Flair Mono I knew I was going to love this one for a very long time, the style, fit and comfort are exactly what I am looking for in a wig.

The cap is very well done on Flair Mono, this is the case with all Ellen Wille wigs. The cap has a 100% hand tied lace front, 100% mono top which allows for multiple parting options. Flair Mono is open wefted with closed felt ear tabs with metal stays. The specs for Flair Mono are Front 4, Crown 5.5, Sides 4 and a Nape of 3.

I reviewed Flair Mono is one of my favorite Ellen Wille colors, Caramel Rooted which is a blended shade of medium honey blonde, dark ash blonde and medium golden blonde with dark brown roots. Caramel Rooted is such a nice color going into the fall season, it has just enough warmth to make this a very interesting and believable color. At this time Flair Mono is only available in 13 shades, I wish Ellen Wille would expand their shade selections to offer more options.

The textured layers and tousled waves are so loose and free feeling in Flair Mono, you can just run your fingers through the fibers and go! As always the fibers on this wig are soft, silky and easy to manipulate.

The photos above show how this style looks with a head band, super easy and so cute; I think by just adding a simple hair band you can totally change the look of a wig, I love to make a wig more casual for a day of shopping by adding a fun colored hair band or pulling the hair off my face and securing with a clip, and why not show off the amazing hairline! Also, you can get even more texture by working a small amount of styling cream through the ends. You can also really "fluff" this one up and get lots of volume as there is plenty of hair to work with on this style. I hope you will consider Flair Mono to add to your collection of beautiful hair!

Crazywiglady's Review of Classic Cool by Raquel Welch

Crazywiglady's Review of Classic Cool by Raquel Welch

Raquel Welch Classic Cool is an updated Page cut with lots of textured layers, light bangs and a soft sculpted back. Classic Cool is shown in SS Golden Wheat, my favorite Raquel Welch shade. This is a lower density wig than the other RW styles I have making it a very versatile style that can be worn smooth and sleek or tousled for a more casual look.
Classic Cool can be worn either with bangs or off the face due to the beautiful lace front; this style has just enough length to clip it at the back of the head or just wear one side clipped back, it also looks adorable with a head band. Classic Cool is made of non-heat friendly fibers that are silky soft and have lots of movement for a natural look and feel. The specs for Classic Cool are Front 5.5 Crown 7, Sides 4.5, Back 6.5 and Nape 2.
The cap construction of Classic Cool includes a 100% hand tied lace front and a left mono part. The ear tabs are closed felt with stays, the nape is extended with velcro adjusters, the wig is open wefted. This style has the Memory Cap III which molds to the shape of the head and is extremely comfortable.
The color SS Golden Wheat is described as a medium honey blonde with soft gold blonde highlights and medium brown roots. The rooting is not over done at all and is very natural looking. One of my favorite features is the highlighting, it extends all the way into the lace front giving the appearance of the hair growing right out of your scalp. The highlights are also concentrated around the face providing a brightening effect. Classic Cool is available in around 30 shades so there is something for everyone!
I think this is going to be an extremely well loved wig for those of us who like RW wigs due to the lower density and the non-heat friendly fibers, I am already eyeing another shade! If you have any questions please email me at eileen@wigstudio1.com
Please follow me on instagram @crazywiglady where I post a "Wig To Toe Wednesday" each week featuring a wig and my complete outfit for the day!

Crazywiglady's Review of Raquel Welch Advanced French in SS Honey Ginger

Crazywiglady's Review of Raquel Welch Advanced French in SS Honey Ginger

Advanced French by Raquel Welch is an adorable textured boy cut with longer layers on the top and crown. Advanced French is a true wear right "out of the box" style, just give it a shake and go!
Advanced French has built in volume making it very easy to wear and style, you can wear it full or sleek it down for a more smooth look. This wig is part of the Raquel Welch Signature Collection and is made of True2Life fibers, add some curls if you like!
I have a 21 1/4 inch head circumference, these Signature Collection wigs are a tad large for me, making this wig good for average head sizes.
The picture above shows SS Honey Ginger in different lighting to give you an idea of this beautiful color. Advanced French is available in 29 shades so there is something for everyone. SS Honey Ginger is described as blended shades of Medium honey blonde and medium amber blonde with medium brown roots. In my opinion the rooting is perfect on this wig, not too stark not too light, perfect!
The cap construction for Advanced French consists of the Memory Cap III which molds to the shape of the head for a comfortable fit. This wig features a Sheer Indulgence 100% hand tied lace front that is totally natural looking! Also, there is silicone coated stretch lace for added comfort and fit. The cap is open wefted with closed ear tabs, as well as an extended felt nape with velcro adjusters.
The specs for Advanced French are, Front 4, Crown 4, Sides 1.75, Back 3.25 and Nape 1.75. The nape fits close to the neck due to the metal stays, you can lift and turn you head and the nape stays in place.
You can easily add a headband or some pins to give this a different look, also by using a bit of styling cream you can add even more texture to this style. Check out Advanced French for a cute carefree style that is suitable for any and all occasions!

Crazywiglady's Review of Ellen Wille Wave Deluxe in Champagne Rooted

Crazywiglady's Review of Ellen Wille Wave Deluxe in Champagne Rooted

Wave Deluxe by Ellen Wille in Champagne Rooted is a true luxurious wig; Wave Deluxe is part of the HairPower Collection. The soft waves are beautiful on this wig, it has so much natural movement which is one of my favorite things about this one. The fibers on these HairPower wigs are so soft and silky, they truly feel like your bio hair, only better.
The color in this review is Champagne Rooted which is a blended shade of light beige blonde, medium honey blonde with natural platinum blonde highlights and light brown roots. The rooting on Wave Deluxe is not stark at all, the rooting is gradient and blends perfectly. The only "con" to this wig is that it only comes in 9 shades.
The cap on Wave Deluxe is top of the line a 100% hand tied lace front that extends into a 100% hand tied mono part. The ear tabs are a polyurethane which is wonderful if you do not have any hair as they will help keep the wig in place, I found them to be extremely comfortable. This is truly a luxurious cap with all the "bells and whistles"!
The HairPower collection is petite/average in sizing, I have a 21 1/4" head circumference and these fit me perfectly.
The specs for Wave Deluxe are, Bang 7, Crown 8, Sides 7 and Nape 4. Another feature I love about this wig is the endless styling options; it looks great worn down or you can clip it back for a totally different look making this a very versatile style.
If you are looking for a style for a special occasion have a look at Wave Deluxe, this just might be your new wig!
Please see my full video review of this beautiful wig on my YouTube channel and be sure to follow me on Instagram @crazywiglady where I feature "Wig To Toe Wednesday" where I post a short video of a wig application as well as my total outfit for the day. Remember, "We're All In This Together"!

Crazywigladay's Review of Mimosa in Butterbeer Blonde

Crazywigladay's Review of Mimosa in Butterbeer Blonde

I have been wanting to try the style Mimosa by BelleTress (Cafe Collection) for quite some time now, I'm so glad I had the opportunity to review her in the new color Butterbeer Blonde.
The style of Mimosa is a cute shaggy, sexy, choppy layered bob with tons of razored ends and long side swept bangs. I actually really like the bangs on this one, in my opinion, they are perfect for this cute bohemian style wig. I love how casual feeling this one is, I can see myself wearing this every weekend, but I'd also wear her to work with a cute casual shirt a pair of skinny jeans or a skirt and look totally appropriate.
The cap construction on Mimosa includes a 100% hand tied lace front and 100% hand tied left mono part. Mimosa has open wefting for comfort and coolness and closed ear tabs (BelleTress has added the extra feature of hair sewn into the ear tabs) this adds another layer of coverage making the hair look natural at the ears, especially if you chose to wear the hair behind your ears.
Specs for Mimosa are, Bang 6, Sides 6, Back 8 and Nape 2.
The new color Butterbeer Blonde is absolutely beautiful, it is a blended tone of sandy blonde with dark honey tones and long light warm brown roots. The roots are totally believable, not too stark at all and BelleTress put the highlighting all the way to the rooting, making it very natural looking. I can't wait to try this color in other styles.
The photo above shows a color comparison with BelleTress Honey With Chai Latte which is described as a blended shade of pale golden blonde with medium golden blonde highlights and a golden brown root. In my opinion the rooting on Butterbeer Blonde is a tad lighter than the rooting on Honey With Chai Latte.
The picture above shows the color, Butterbeer Blonde in outside natural lighting. The light brown rooting really shows up in this lighting, it is not too stark or dark but very natural and believable, note how the highlights are placed all the way into the rooting.
The fibers of this BelleTress wig are so soft and silky. There is limited permatease and by using a small amount of styling cream you can emphasize  the spiky ends and create fun texture.
Mimosa is a very popular style for BelleTress and I can totally understand why, it is such a fun style that many people enjoy and the new color Butterbeer Blonde is one that I will be wearing for years to come.

Crazywiglady's Review of Score by Ellen Wille in Cognac Rooted

Crazywiglady's Review of Score by Ellen Wille in Cognac Rooted

Score
by
Ellen Wille
(Cognac Rooted)
Keeping true to my promise to review more colors and styles I am adding Ellen Wille Score in Cognac Rooted to my blog. I have fallen in love with these shades of red, I think they are perfect for the upcoming fall season.
Score is a pixie with longer layers at the crown and sides; the longer crown allows for a more updated look as well as providing styling options.
Score is part of the Ellen Wille HairPower collection; this collection is for petite/average head circumferences (I have a 211/4 inch circumference) but this one runs a tad larger (video shows the amount of stretch), making this work, in my opinion, for an average size head.
The cap construction consists of a basic front (no lace front) a mono crown piece that allows the hair to look like it is growing right out of the scalp, felt ear tabs with metal stays as well as an extended felt nape with velcro adjusters. As I mentioned above there is a good amount of stretch in this cap.
The color Cognac Rooted is described as a blend of light auburn and medium to light cooper red with dark brown roots. I think the roots look extremely natural on Score, they provide a beautiful contrast to the other blended shades.
This blended color is so pretty with the highlights concentrated around the face to instantly brighten the look! I especially like the way the colors are blended together in the back of the style. Score is available in 10 shades.
The specs are bang 3.5, crown 6, sides 3.5, nape 3 and weight is 2.2 oz. The HairPower wigs are very low density and the fibers are very fine, there is also very minimal permatease in this wig.
If you are looking for a transition into fall style take a look at Score!

Crazywiglady's review of Ellen Wille Queen Comfort (Caramel Rooted)

Crazywiglady's review of Ellen Wille Queen Comfort (Caramel Rooted)

Ellen Wille
Queen Comfort
Caramel Rooted
When I took Queen Comfort out of the box and tried it on I almost cried, this style is almost identical to the style I wore before I lost my hair to chemo, I had a smile from ear to ear. I have developed such a love for Ellen Wille wigs, the fibers are so silky soft and luxurious.
Queen Comfort is part of Ellen Wille's 2018 Hair Power collection; it is a shaggy bob with lots of layers and such natural movement! The Hair Power collection styles consist of low density wigs that are petite/average sized (however, this one fit a bit larger than previous ones I have reviewed), I think an average size head circumference could easily wear this one, there is also minimal to no permatease in this wig.
The color caramel rooted is described as a blend of medium honey blonde, dark ash blonde and medium golden blonde with dark rooting. The highlights are so well placed in this wig, I especially like the way they are concentrated around the face.
The cap construction on these wigs is not only comfortable but beautiful. Queen Comfort has a 100% temple to temple lace front that extends to the ear tabs, a 100% hand tied left mono part as well as a 100% hand tied cap, there is also double lining at the crown making it very soft for scalps with little to no hair, there is also an extended nape with velcro adjusters.
The specs on Queen Comfort are Bang 5, Crown 5, Sides 5.5 and Nape 5. The long front sweeping bangs provide face framing that looks great on a variety of face shapes.
There are so many different ways to wear Queen Comfort, above are are few ways you can wear this very versatile wig; I especially like it pulled back to show off that beautiful lace front. However you decide to wear Queen Comfort, dressy or casual, this is a wig that you will enjoy for years to come!

Crazywiglady's Review of Brooklyn by Henry Margu in 614GR

Crazywiglady's Review of Brooklyn by Henry Margu in 614GR

Henry Margu Brooklyn (614GR)

I was hesitant to try Brooklyn in 614GR at first, the color is so beautiful but I was afraid it would not work for me but I’m glad I gave it a try.

Brooklyn is a long bob with tons of layers that gives this wig lots of movement and swing! Brooklyn is a low density wig with fibers that feel like silk, I love the way Henry Margu fibers move and feel, they truly have the look and feel of bio hair.

I also love the HM colors, they are so different and intense, from their red shades to the very blondes, each color is blended with such beautiful shades, it looks like you just walked out of the beauty salon.

The cap construction on Brooklyn consists of a 100% hand tied temple to temple lace front, a left mono part, minimal permatease, open wefting for coolness and comfort, closed felt ear tabs with stays and an extended felt nape with Velcro adjusters.

I find HM wigs to be a tad large for me, I just use the Velcro adjusters, they also have lots of stretch, if you have a larger head circumference this brand might work for you.

The color 614GR is described as a blend of pale gold and beige blonde with dark rooting; this is an accurate description of this shade, the blending is very well done throughout the style.

One of my favorite things about wigs this length are the styling options, there are so many things that can be done with this length. Below are some examples of ways to style Brooklyn; a braid, head band, pony tail or comb can really dress this style up or down.

The specs for Brooklyn are bang 8, crown 12, sides 10, back 9.5 nape 4.5 and she only weighs 3.25 oz. Brooklyn is another hit by Henry Margu, a style that never goes out of style!

Brooklyn is available in approximately 24 shades, please check out Wigstudio1.com for further information.

Crazywiglady's Review of Rachel by Henry Margu (27/26H0

Crazywiglady's Review of Rachel by Henry Margu (27/26H0

I have been determined to try new colors and styles this summer so I decided to give Rachel by Henry Margu a try, and I'm hooked!

Rachel is a short sassy layered cut with long front layers that frame the face beautifully! Rachel can be worn sleek and professional or you can mess it up and wear it super casual and fun!

The denier of the fibers are super fine and this is a low density wig as well, there is very minimal permatease and tons of natural movement.

The color 27/26H is described as gold blonde/light auburn/glazed strawberry with chunky blonde highlights. In my opinion the blonde highlights are what make this wig so beautiful, they add so much personality and dimension.

The cap construction for Rachel consists of a 100% hand tied temple to temple wide lace front, a large 100% hand tied mono top, open wefting for comfort and coolness, felt ear tabs and an open extended nape and velcro adjusters.

Note: Henry Margu wigs run a tad large on me, I can easily adjust them for a perfect fit using the velcro tabs, if you have a average/large head circumference this wig might work well for you.

The specs for Rachel are, bang 6.5, crown 2.75-6.5, sides 3-5, back 2.5-5 and nape 2.25.

Just by adding a few accessories such as a head band and clips you can make Rachel super casual or use some styling cream to create a textured fun look! I am absolutely going to order Rachel in at least one more shade, this is a style wig that I will wear for years to come.

Rachel comes in over 30 shades, check out wigstudio1.com for more information on Rachel and follow me on instagram @crazywiglady where I post a "Wig to Toe Wednesday" every Wednesday, I'm also on YouTube, my channel name is Crazywiglady!

I hope you enjoyed this blog on HM Rachel and until we meet again, "Remember, we're all in this together".

Star by Ellen Wille by Crazywiglady

Star by Ellen Wille by Crazywiglady

Crazywiglady's Review

Star by Ellen Wille

If you have been looking for a petite/average wig with low density this is the wig for you! Star by Ellen Wille is exactly that and so much more; the moment I put on this wig I knew it would be on my favorites list. Star is part of the Hair Society collection, the caps are made for women with total hair loss or smaller circumferences. Star features face framing layers that are flattering on most face shapes as well as all over layering for natural movement.

The color I'm wearing is Sandy Blonde Rooted, honey and ash blonde with a touch of reddish brown with brown roots. Sandy Blonde Rooted is a color I wear frequently in Ellen Wille wigs, I love the shades of blonde and the rooting is very natural. The fibers on these wigs are very low density with little to no permatease and have the look and feel of real hair.

The cap construction on the hair society wigs is excellent; Star features a 100% hand tied temple to temple lace front, mono top and hand tied cap, luxury at its finest! The hand tied cap is very soft and comfortable, perfect if you have total hair loss. The temple to tempe lace front offers a natural looking hairline and the mono top offers provides parting options. The cap also features closed felt ear tabs with stays, an extended nape and velcro adjusters.

One of my favorite things about wearing wigs is styling them! I love to see how many different ways I can find to style each wig. Star is the perfect length to provide different styling options, the picture above shows how you can change the look of Star by simply adding a few accessories. From color to cap construction to styling options Star has it all!
